The exact steps vary by game, but in general:
- Join a matchmaking Room, create an Open Challenge, or join a Tournament to find an opponent.
- Add your opponent as a friend on Xbox Live, PSN, or PC using their Gamertag or Username.
- Go to the game mode where you can play a friend online. For example, the Battle Royale mode in Fortnite.
- Send a game invite to your opponent.
- Check and confirm the match rules and settings.
- Start the match.
How are winners decided in an Apex Legends tournament?
The winner in an Apex Legends tournament is decided by most kills. The player with the most kills will advance to next round if the match ends in a tie in kills, the player who causes the most damage will advance to the next round, but if both players deal the same damage you will restart until a winner is decided.
What happens if a player falsely reports the result at the end of an Apex Legends game?
If a player falsely reports the end result, then a dispute will take place. Once a dispute takes place a Playerslounge moderator with coming into the match and determine the winner
Disputes are rare, but if they happen it’s helpful if you record or capture the end results to help the website moderator correctly determine the winner.
